Reflection

As of my second semester as a freshman, I have enjoyed many classes but this class has been one of my favorites. I am not just saying this because this is a graded assignment but because this class has taught me a lot. Whenever in class, we were discussing literature on a scholarly level where we thought about the work in depth to find deeper meanings behind the text. This made me realize that there is so much more to books and poems than just what the text says.

This class also helps you find yourself especially as a student. I never would of thought that I would of loved literature even more than I did before. I also looked forward to all of our pub assignments as well as papers where we connected outside sources to our literature in class. Our class was more like a family.

The papers, pubs and readings could at some points get a little tough but overall I think it helped develop my writing skills as well as my critical thinking. Now I look at everything with a different perspective and find deeper meanings in even the simple things in life. English 102 with Professor Mignano Brady definitely will change your mind on literature and help you blossom into a better you.
